DPA is delighted to announce that leading trade publication Audio Media has featured the DPA 4099 instrument mic series in Gear of the Year, a selection of this year’s product highlights chosen by the magazine.
Rugged, stable and yet tiny, discreet and lightweight, the 4099 series has met with high praise from audio engineers and musicians. Featuring supercardioid polar patterns, and capable of handling high sound pressure levels, these little microphones can be clipped and repositioned to another instrument with only one hand. The mounting system is designed to be extremely gentle, never marring the finish of an instrument.
As well as being featured in news stories and articles throughout the year, the 4099 was also reviewed in the June issue of Audio Media (read review). “They reproduce a natural sound with nice richness, clarity and presence,” said reviewer Tom Young. “If you are looking for a well-designed product with sonic excellence, you should consider the DPA 4099.”
Summing up, editor Paul Mac says, "As well is being a fantastic little microphone, the 4099 comes with a gang of mounting options that bring the option of quality right to the musician and their specific instruments. Technology that complements performance is always great technology."
