DPA Microphones has a five year warranty on Standard and Compact microphones, and a two year warranty on all other microphones.
The DPA warranty covers:
- Only the microphone
- Mechanical functionality
- Documented specifications
Procedure
Contact the place where you purchased your DPA microphone and they will send the microphone to the nearest authorized DPA service center where it will undergo test and repair. The microphone is returned clean and buffed.
Matched stereo pairs are rematched. Surround matched kits will be returned to the factory in Denmark, to undergo a multi-match calibration. If the microphone is covered by the warranty, this service is free of charge. For out-of-warranty repairs, a service fee will apply.
Invoice
Your purchase invoice serves as warranty registration. The invoice must state the date of purchase and name of the product.
The five year warranty is valid for all end-users for Standard and Compact microphones* bought after 1 January 2009.
The following are not covered by the warranty:
- Faults caused by mistreatment, abuse, wear and tear, alteration or modification in any way (please refer to the User’s Manual)
- Accessories supplied with the product
- Minor faults or deviations in the quality of a product which do not affect the product’s value or fitness for its intended purpose
All DPA microphones and components are manufactured at the company’s purpose-built factory in Denmark.
*Five year warranty is only valid for DPA Standard and Compact microphones: 4003, 4004, 4006-TL, 4007, 4011-TL, 4012, 4015-TL, 4016, 4017, 4021, 4022, 4023, 4026, 4027, 4028, 4051, 4052, 4053, 4041, 3503, 3506, 3511, 3521, 3532, 3552, 5006, 5006-11, 5015.
