Performance Notes

Tracks 1 - 8: Fallin' Leaves (2007)
Touch: Bell touch and legato.
Una Corda Pedal: Used extensively throughout the piece.
Damper Pedal: Open pedalling following the chord changes.


Tracks 9 - 16: Evening Song (1984)
Touch: Mainly somewhere between legato and non-legato, with accents following the phrasing and the dynamics.
Una Corda Pedal: On in the first A-part, off in A2 and in the B-part, on again in the last A-part.
Damper Pedal: Phrase pedalling throughout the song.


Tracks 17 - 24: Slowly Driftin' (2007)
Touch: Mainly somewhere between legato and non-legato, with accents following the phrasing and the dynamics.
Una Corda Pedal: On at the beginning and at the end, otherwise off.
Damper Pedal: Sparsely used, following the phrasing.


Tracks 25 - 32: One for the New Ones (1986)
Touch: Non-legato with accents following the phrasing.
Una Corda Pedal: On at the beginning, gradually off, on again at the end.
Damper Pedal: Almost off throughout the tune, on at the end.


Track 33 - 40: The Day I Met Mr. Haydn
Touch: Mainly legato phrasing wih accents following the dynamics.
Una Corda Pedal: On in the first theme section, on/off when repeated in the lower register, on again in the last theme section.
Damper Pedal: Mainly half-pedalling, used optionally throughout the piece.


Tracks 41 - 48: La Gazzellina (2002)
Touch: Bell touch (rapid legato using damper pedal) in the intro and the outro, otherwise legato touch.
Una Corda Pedal: Used extensively throughout the piece.
Damper Pedal: Open pedal in the intro and the outro, otherwise mainly to mark phrases.


Tracks 49 - 56: Miniature XIV (2007)
Touch: Hard Bell Touch when playing the clusters, otherwise mainly staccato.
Una Corda Pedal: Off throughout the piece.
Damper Pedal: On when playing clusters at the beginning, otherwise off.
