4007 Reference Microphone, P48

  • unbeatable dynamic range
  • close miking recording situations regardless of the sound source
  • specially designed to handle extremely high sound pressure levels

The High-SPL Reference Microphone 4007 is a phantom powered (P48) close miking specialist with an extremely linear on-axis frequency response from 20 Hz to 40 kHz (±2 dB).

This high-performance condenser microphone has an unbeatable dynamic range of 124 dB from the noise floor to 1% THD and is capable of handling up to 155 dB SPL peak before clipping occurs.

The 4007 has through its total acoustical transparency and ultra-high SPL handling capability gained a reputation as being the first choice for picking up drums, percussion and brass instruments, whenever the natural and non-distorted result is paramount.

4007 is, due to its linear qualities, also used as reference microphone in both microphone comparisons and acoustic test equipment.

Accessories included

UA0658 Windscreen for 4004/07

The windscreen is made of expanded foam (25-30 pores per inch). The expanded foam ensures that the windscreen does not attenuate the higher frequencies more than the tolerance field of the microphone frequency response.

UA0639 Microphone Clip

The UA0639 is of a traditional design, but with additional modifications, that ensure a tighter and firmer grip on the microphone, while still enabling it to be secured and removed repeatedly with ease.

Accessories available

UA0836 Stereo Boom with Holders

The UA0837 is a precision-crafted microphone boom for secure mounting of microphone pairs for A-B stereo recordings.
