Area Sales Manager – APAC
DPA Microphones A/S (DPA) is looking for a new Area Sales Manager to help the company grow and develop new as well as existing markets throughout the Asia Pacific region (APAC). Working out of the office in Hong Kong with two other colleagues, you will play a key role in the sales organization, and work closely with other departments such as marketing, product management, R&D and Customer Service. You must take the initiative in terms of working with distributors, dealers and other external business partners. Your areas of responsibility:
Manage sales budget
Manage sales planning & sales execution
Realizing business potential with distributors and dealers
Support customers with activities and product training
Reporting directly to the VP Sales – APAC, your priority is to realize and exceeds budgets. To do this, you are continuously on top of market developments, including data and market insights, which you report to management on a regular basis.
You assess, plan, execute and evaluate the sales strategy according to market condition, leaning on company best practices extracted from similar markets. You will cooperate on a strategical and tactical level with the distributors and dealers. You will identify and pursue business opportunities and work closely with customers to meet common goals.
In addition, you will collect and share knowledge among the markets, ensuring state-of-the-art sales processes cross-regionally. Therefore, an important part of your role will be to ensure that customers and stakeholders have the necessary knowledge about DPA’s product and solutions. Also, you will need to be available for customers in terms of product training and knowledge sharing – either virtually or in person.
Technical sales profile with strong business and support skills
Taking on the position with DPA, you are expected to hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably from a business school or technical education. Moreover, you are well-versed in B2B sales in an international perspective and have minimum three-to-five years within this field. Experience from the APAC region and/or the pro-audio industry is likewise considered an advantage.
Most importantly, you carry solid experience selling top-tier technical brands characterized by a strong brand value among their end users. You hold strong commercial/sales excellence skills working strategically with business partners including distributors, dealers and influencers.
Moreover, you are a strong communicator, working effortlessly with all nationalities and adapting easily to cultures different from your own. You strive to reach your targets as a team, collaborating closely with colleagues as well as customers and external business partners.
Meanwhile, you are self-propelled and proactive by nature, independently initiating new sales and business activities, just as you thrive working with clear structures, planning and deadlines.
Finally, you appreciate working in a dynamic and agile company, characterized by an informal working environment as well as short decision-making processes.
