Boomy

A timbre descriptor (bass range) in audio assessment. Resonances in the low bass, as if the sound was played in a large barrel, which gives a prominent bass resound (reverberating) when bass and bass drums are heard. The representation tends to become muddy and imprecise. Scale applied in listening tests: None – Weak – Loud [Reference: Report ITU-R BS.2399-0]
