Directional Characteristics

Measure of the response of a microphone to sound incident from various angles or of the radiation pattern of a loudspeaker. The sensitivity (referred to as on-axis sensitivity) is plotted as a function of angle of incidence at various frequencies. Also called "polar pattern".
