Foley Artist
In the post-production and editing stage of a film's production, the foley artist (named after pioneer Jack Foley) creates or adds incidental sound effects/noises (e.g., footsteps, gunshots, kisses, fight-sounds, punches, storm noises, slamming doors, explosions, etc.) that are synchronized to the film to match its visual component.
