Rated sensitivity

In the IEC standard, the rated sensitivity is the free-field, diffuse-field, close-talking, or pressure sensitivity of the microphone assigned by the manufacturer. The rated sensitivity corresponds to the response at the standard reference frequency of 1000 Hz. Unless otherwise specified, the rated sensitivity is understood to refer to the microphone under rated conditions. The manufacturer may specify the rated sensitivity for a specified load impedance.
