Diffuse Field Response

The diffuse field response shows the microphone's tonal qualities when placed in a highly-reverberant environment with a large distance to the sound sources.

The diffuse field response normally exhibits a significantly high-frequency roll-off compared to the on-axis response. In some cases, it is possible to compensate for the sound field by changing the microphone grid.
