By day I'm a boom operator in the film industry.
I have a passion for sharing sound knowledge. Every few weeks I teach a sound class to union members of IATSE 479. Additionally I teach sound on my Youtube channel - Sound Speeds (http://www.youtube.com/SoundSpeeds). I've been a guest speaker at high schools, colleges, online seminars and online festivals and enjoy inspiring and educating people whenever I have the opportunity. I'm very active in the GA sound community and many people consider me an influencer for what's new in the sound world.

Career highlights

I was once a member of the professional Photographers of America which helps me now as a boom operator and since 2015 have been an associate member of the Cinema Audio Society. Recent projects I've worked on include The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Avengers: Infinity War, Cobra Kai and American Soul. I've worked with numerous manufacturers product testing and innovating new products and enjoy seeing my input help make a product successful. I enjoy teaching about sound on my YouTube channel Sound Speeds.

Favorite DPA Microphones

Hands down, I love DPA's realistic capturing of sound more than any other manufacturer on the market. The  4017B is my favorite microphone by far. It has excellent reach, very impressive off axis attenuation, is crystal clear clarity and is unaffected by coloration. I also love the SC4098. It pulls out dialogue at distances no other low profile plant mic can compete with, sound rich and full and rejects out stubborn background sounds like a full sized mic. You can't beat the 6060 series lavs. Rugged, open sounding and capable of capturing higher fidelity audio than any other lav on the market despite being smaller than practically every other lav.
