We have collected our award-winning d:dicate™ Recording Microphones in specialized stereo kits that contain the mics and accessories you need to capture fantastic sound no matter what your need. All kits are matched within either ±0.5 dB or ±1 dB depending on the kit you choose. Explore the kits below:

3506A Stereo Kit with 4006A Omnis

This is a complete stereo kit with two carefully factory-matched phantom powered d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Condenser Microphones. The kit includes mics, windscreens, boom, holders, clips, and much more.

Even though the standard tolerances on our d:dicate™ series are extremely low, a stereo match is even closer. These specially selected d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphones are matched within ±0.5 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity.

For reference stereo recording, there is no better choice than a d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphone. These omnidirectional condenser microphones are linear and true in character. They come as a hand-matched pair that offers the truest capture of stereo sound available.

      The d:dicate™ 4006 Omnidirectional Microphone

The 4006 Omnidirectional Microphone Capsule offers total transparency in any recording situation. It picks up incredible detail and depth of sound. The definition of its high-frequency characteristics across a wide range of instruments is impressive. It offers natural sound, high sensitivity, low noise-floor and linear frequency response from 10 to 20 kHz (±2 dB).

The d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphone is a flexible solution. Engineers, broadcasters and musicians alike can achieve clean, natural and precise sound reproduction. This mic is ideal for A-B stereo pairs for symphonic concert hall recordings. It also excels on vocals, for close-miking all types of instruments and as an outdoor interview microphone.

A selection of accessories is available, including acoustic pressure equalizers, a nose cone and interchangeable protection grids. These accessories can acoustically transform the mic. By changing grids, it is possible to gain several unique frequency responses and directional characteristics from the mic.

Furthermore, these accessories will not produce any phase shift, noise or distortion that would otherwise be introduced by an electrical filter.

3511A Stereo Kit with 4011A Cardioids

This is a complete stereo kit with two d:dicate™ 4011A Cardioid Microphones, carefully factory-matched within ±1 dB on frequency response and sensitivity in the microphone’s entire frequency bandwidth. The kit includes mics, windscreens, boom, holders, clips, and much more.

The d:dicate™ 4011A Cardioid Microphone is renowned in recording studios and live applications around the world as an exceptional mic. State-of-the-art components have been carefully selected to provide optimal neutrality, accuracy and extremely low distortion.

      The 4011 Cardioid Microphone
The principal appeal of the 4011 Cardioid Microphone is its directional quality and attention to detail. This mic makes everything sounds like the original. The first-order cardioid pickup pattern provides superb separation between sound sources.

It is equally suitable for close-up work on acoustic guitar, grand piano, overheads, percussion, wind instruments and vocals as it is for spot-miking symphonies. It can handle incredibly high sound levels and even includes a 20 dB pad switch in the center of the XLR connector to attenuate the output of the microphone.

A flat on-axis frequency response and excellent phase response deliver a totally faithful reproduction of the original sound. The off-axis response is similarly smooth so that any leakage is an accurate reflection of the original, though attenuated according to the true first-order cardioid pickup pattern.

3511ES Stereo Kit with 4011ES Cardioids

This is a complete stereo kit with two compact d:dicate™ 4011ES Cardioid Microphones, with active side cables. The mics are carefully factory-matched within ±1 dB on frequency response and sensitivity in the microphone’s entire frequency bandwidth. The kit includes mics, windscreens, holders, clips, and much more.

Ideal for unobtrusive spot miking, such as hanging or table use, the d:dicate™ 4011ES Cardioid Microphone, Active Cable is an ultra-compact cardioid microphone from the modular d:dicate™ Microphones Series. The mic has a length of only 3.5 cm (1.4 in) and a low-key appearance.

The mic features an integrated cable solution. This allows it to be hung from the ceiling and create precise and repeatable positions and angles when spot miking orchestra sections or ambience atmospheres.

      Classical orchestra, A-B stereo

The overall aim when recording large orchestras using just a main stereo pair is to faithfully reproduce the instruments, the tonal balance of the orchestra, the directivity of instrument sections and the concert hall in which the orchestra is to be recorded.

Not surprisingly, the MMC4015 Wide Cardioid Capsule retains most of the bandwidth and tonal advantages of the straight omni capsule, while providing a useful amount of rearward rejection.
