DPA Microphones, the leading Danish Professional Audio manufacturer of high-quality condenser microphone solutions for professional applications, will showcase its new d:sign™ Installation Solutions Series at InfoComm 2018 (Booth C682). Targeted specifically at the installation and conference markets, the d:sign™ product line includes an array of products ideally suited for conference and AV applications, including floor stand, ceiling and tabletop microphones. Also at InfoComm, DPA will introduce its spec-swap and protect program as well as its on-site commissioning initiative.

“The  d:sign™ series is an excellent microphone choice for functional yet aesthetically-pleasing meeting or conference spaces, and we are excited to display the complete line at InfoComm 2018,” says René Mørch, product manager, DPA Microphones. “This line of unobtrusive tabletop, ceiling and floor stand microphones ensures outstanding sound even in acoustically-challenging spaces.”

All products in the d:sign™ range deliver neutral and accurate sound to the smallest detail, even in the most difficult surroundings. In conference use, boardroom applications and video conferencing situations, the DPA mics allow for trouble-free installations and deliver pristine, clear sound. From the boundary layer mount to an assortment of gooseneck mics for tabletop, podium or ceiling placement, DPA offers the perfect solution for any space.

The complete line includes:
  • d:sign™ 4098 Ceiling and Tabletop Mics: These mics have outstanding audio quality that is highly directional and very isolated with a high rejection of radio frequency interference and an elegant, slim design. They meet the needs of architects, AV consultants, system integrators and installing electricians.

  • d:sign™ Floorstand Mics: This floor stand solution has an elegant and exclusive design with a black, non-reflective surface specifically made to handle the demands in TV-studios, ENG vehicles and onstage in theaters and concert halls. The Floor Base has an integrated shock mounting solution.

  • d:sign™ BLM Boundary Layer Mic: The microphone is a pre-polarized omnidirectional miniature condenser microphone with a 5.4 mm (0.2 in) vertical diaphragm. It is designed to work when placed on a tabletop, but it also performs well on any other hard, flat surface that reflects sound.

  • d:sign™ 4018 Supercardioid Tabletop Mic: A complete, supercardioid tabletop microphone solution, which is ideal for either permanently affixing to or temporarily placed on a table in conference venues, meeting rooms and board rooms.

DPA is also debuting a spec-swap and protect program, and will provide a discount on any order if a competitive microphone system specification is converted to a DPA product or if a system design specifies and includes DPA products on the final request for proposal (RFP). DPA will be the sole determination if a product meets the specification conversion criteria. For more information, please contact your DPA area sales manager or supportusa@dpamicrophones.com to start the pre-approval process.

Also, DPA is now providing a Global Sales Support Team member (GSST) to assist with on-site system commissioning and tuning. There will be a daily fee for this service and it will include all expenses for the GSST member. The GSST member will only be responsible for DPA Microphones-related issues and will not be used for initial system installation, but only final system inspection, recommendations and project sign-off. Please email your DPA area sales manager, supportusa@dpamicrophones.com or Gabriel Antonini, global sales support and business development manager at vga@dpamicrophones.com, to schedule the on-site service. The commissioning must be scheduled with DPA Microphones at least six weeks in advance.
